from your grace

One rose

One rose

to the wounded

who lay feathered in blows

One rose

The most beautiful love poem
I've read, written by you to the lovely Paula. You made my day this morning, by giving us a glimpse of your love. Happy Valentine's Day Gary and Paula!!

Oh, what a beautiful poem! It almost sounds like a prayer, a soulful litany, to all kinds of people. I would like to share this poem by Jose Garcia Villa with you, a poem about losing love, which I understand is quite late given that Valentine's Day has passed, but I read this while reading a book of assorted poems this morning and remembered your post.

I can no more hear Love’s
Voice. No more moves
The mouth of her. Birds
No more sing. Words
I speak return lonely.
Flowers I pick turn ghostly.
Fire that I burn glows
Pale. No more blows
The wind. Time tells
No more truth. Bells
Ring no more in me.
I am all alone singly.
Lonely rests my head.
—O my God! I am dead.
