Here in San D...What an incisive--and timely--post! Here in San Diego we have a brand new library, which has been in the works for many, many years! A library, personal or public, is a very great and profound collection of words and thoughts and stories and ideas. It is history in print. As for "the ideal library", it would be a true, historical record of time and events, with an additional dimension and depth to it, I think.
