YES! After the usual waiting period, My daughter & I have been picked to be a World Book Night giver, with our first choice of book as well !!!!!!!!!!!! Chosen because we’ve both read and enjoyed it
ALL This constitutes a meeting of constellations, a consensus of neurons firing --- H.A.P.P.Y.
What happens next?
I will be emailed in the next week asking me to select where I wish to collect my World Book Night books from. This collection point is the local participating bookshop or library where my books will be delivered in the week before World Book Night.
See you on the night.

Now this is interesting...wait! I forgot to say Congratulations, first! But, you have totally different books to choose from than those of us who live in the States. I selected Because of Winn Dixie (have your daughter read that, if she hasn't; it's the most lovely children's book which speaks to adults at the same time). I'm not sure if that's the book I'll give away, as I too, am waiting for finalizing details. Still, isn't this exciting! Woot-woot!

Congratulations, Parrish! I will be following closely as to how the World Book Night works. Generally, I would have loved something similar in the Philippines. Have fun! It sure sounds like a great idea to bond again with your daughter.
